You are in Hell if you have to work for a living.
You are in hell, if you are staying for survival.
Hell is in that unbarable office with unbarable bosses and an unbearable job that makes you dread mondays and look forward to Fridays,
It’s in that unbearable marriage that makes it too difficult to make it home.
It’s in those unbearable attachments that germinate unbearable self-loathing, any moment you meet them.
Someone once asked,
“When in hell, would you ask the devil to reduce the fire?”
Will the devil make your suffering easier?
We complain about toxic relationships—
At work,
With blood,
With spouses,
With people we call friends.
But when you stress and complain,
Does the villain in your story change?
No.
Because they’re not the villain. You are.
You opened the door to your hell and closed it behind you.
You feel the heat—and stick to it.
Yes, it teaches you.
Yes, it builds resilience.
But for how long?
Why stay in a job for seven years with a boss who limits your growth?
Why wake up hating your mornings?
Why stay where you’re not valued?
Because you left your gifts in the closet
And enslaved yourself to another man.
“Nooo Mumbi, bills gotta get paid!”
“Your hobbies will not put
Yes. But the same God you seek said:
“The kingdom of God is within you.”
“Everything we need is already provided.”
Your job on earth is to exist in your highest passion.
Those gifts you serve others with freely—
They can sustain you.
They can build wealth, if you want them to.
I’m not saying don’t get employed.
I’m saying:
Find spaces where your gifts serve and expand.
Tough spaces build discipline.
But they’re not your home.
When you spot toxicity—exit.
Strategically.
Fast.
Fast enough to protect your health.
Fast enough to stop the rot.
Your body responds to your environment.
Toxicity shows up in blood pressure, sugar imbalance, chronic illness,
NNot to mention the recently excelerated mental health spirals.
Staying in toxic spaces doesn’t show strength.
It shows how little you value your well-being.
Red flags aren’t challenges to endure.
They’re warnings to plan your exit.
So—
Are you in hell, while your gifts gather dust?
Or are you using your talents to fuel your growth?
