Two in the Field: Conscious Parenting in an Age of Awakening

Yesterday, my child asked me,
“Mom, is Jesus real?”

“Yes. Jesus is—and was—a spirit commissioned to awaken souls. Just like Krishna, Mohammed, Buddha, and so on and so forth.”

“Was his crucifixion real?”

From the knowledge I have gathered in my awareness journey, I felt the weight of the question. I am as real with my children as I am with myself.

“The Bible is a collection of literal journeys of people who experienced the wonders of creation, moments of misalignment, their own versions of crucifixion and ascension. Like the stories of Jonah and Lot. These stories are allegories—symbolizing patterns of life. When you understand them deeply, you learn the manual to existing in your highest excitement. As you already know, you have the power to create any reality, in any form, in abundance, until the last day you leave your earthly temple—your body.”

Of course, I blubber on until I notice that the excitement in my philosophical tales has already bored her.

My kids ask me almost every day when they come home from school,
“Is school really necessary? We already learn the most useful knowledge from you.”

When you are not the payer of the school fees, you have to respond while in silent prayer, seeking wisdom. Because I share the same sentiments. But then again, my ADHD brain cannot homeschool, schedule co-curriculars, and focus on making wealth at the same time. And then again, I will not let them rot in the house secretly playing Roblox while I’m busy hunting and gathering.

So I respond,
“School and learning are a part of our lives, and even though they are systematized, your job is to find your highest excitement in that season.”

Yes, I already know—some might say I am completely lost, and completely losing my kids. And when worry about that non-issue creeps in, I am reminded of the scripture:

“Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.”
Matthew 24:40–41 (NIV)

The last year has been a season of spiritual schooling. One that involves intense endurance. And the only formula to move through any storm is to be in the knowing and to master your existence in the highest excitement.

In the past year, I have been creating—and resting—as I observe. Because I am both the creator and the observer of how the universe co-creates with me.

This sounds like madness. But then again, I have been sharing conversations with total strangers who have been through storms I cannot even fathom. I have met people who got latched onto a loop they have lived through before, and a lack of awareness places them back into the same states of fear, scarcity, shame, and guilt.

Change is constant. The mindset always shifts when you learn something new that aligns your frequency. My commission as a teacher of mindset involves passing these unconventional—and most times boring—truths to the beautiful souls who chose me.
